First and third Saturday of every month

Visiting hours
Guided cultural itineraries start at 10 a.m and 1 a.m and last at least one hour.

Please note that you will be required to arrive 15 minutes prior to the scheduled timetable and to show a valid identity document.
If the personal data provided upon booking will not coincide with the data included in the identity document, you will be not allowed to access the castle.
Minors under 12 years must be accompanied by an adult.

The Valentino Castle is accessible from the main access located in Viale Pier Andrea Mattioli, 39.

Closures
The Castle will be closed during the national and local holidays, during August and on the occasion of institutional events.

Booking details

Online booking is required at least 8 days prior to the date scheduled for the visit.

Cultural itineraries are free of charge, but a € 3,50 reservation fee is required and cannot reimbursed in case of no-show.

Cultural itineraries are offered to groups up to a maximum of 25 people and guided by scholars from the Valentino Castle, who will show you the main historical, artistic and institutional aspects of the Castle.

Itineraries language

Guided cultural itineraries in Valentino Castle are held in Italian: upon request, for groups of 15 people minimum, they can be held in English, as well.

Safety & Security

On arrival, you will be subject to security checks.

Please note that items, such as large items of baggage, backpacks, big bags, plastic or glass bottles, cans, umbrellas, sharp, bladed or blunt instruments, photography and filming, deviating from the guided itineraries, touching furniture, decor and artworks, smoking (including electronic cigarettes) are not permitted, animals are not allowed and pushchairs cannot be taken into the Castle.

With this regard, you are kindly requested to respect all general regulations and to pay attention to the information notices.

Access for people with disabilities

Upon booking, you are required to inform us about any obstacles or limitations deriving from any disability condition, in order to provide you with a proper assistance.

During the path, suitable access is provided thanks to elevators and other facilities. However, some difficulties might occur with wheel chairs due to the particular paving of the internal courtyard (pavé).

Vision impaired people
At present, no tactile itineraries are available.


School visits

School visits at the Valentino Castle can be offered to school groups, starting from Secondary School-I grade.

starting from September 1st and by November 15th of each school year.

Cultural itineraries are offered to groups up to a maximum of 25 people and scheduled according to chronological order of the requests and subject to availability. Schools will be informed well in advance via e-mail about the scheduled date.

Schools will be required to send their booking requests with the list of the participants and their personal data 10 days prior to the scheduled date.

Cultural itineraries, which will last about one hour, will be guided by scholars from the Valentino Castle, who will show you the main historical, artistic and institutional aspects of the Castle.
